1. Process route
Ionic membrane caustic soda is produced by electrolyzing saltwater using ion exchange membrane method. Ionic membrane electrolysis for caustic soda production is the latest industrial technology in today's industry. The alkaline solution produced by the ion membrane electrolysis tank has high concentration, high quality, low energy consumption, no mercury harm, and no asbestos pollution. Therefore, the ion membrane caustic soda industry has become the mainstream process technology for the development of global caustic soda production, with by-products of hydrogen and chlorine gas.
2. Process flow
Primary saltwater → Secondary saltwater → Ionic membrane electrolysis → Dechlorination of dilute saltwater → Hydrogen chloride treatment → Accident chlorine treatment → Liquid chlorine and packaging → Synthesis of hydrochloric acid and hydrogen chloride → Alkali concentration and agglomeration.
3. Technical advantages
Shandong Jereh Catech Technology Co., Ltd.'s participation in caustic soda projects accounts for about 10% of the national caustic soda production capacity. Ionic membrane caustic soda technology is already very mature in China, but primary brine treatment is a pain point for many projects. Catech Technology has multiple proprietary technologies in primary brine treatment, which can provide integrated solutions tailored to the actual situation of customers. Secondly, the expert team of Catech Technology has been deeply involved in the chlor alkali industry for many years, with frontline production and management experience, and can assist customers one-on-one in solving on-site operational abnormalities.
4. Downstream direction
Downstream of chlorine gas: disinfectants, pharmaceuticals, PVC, methane chlorides, epichlorohydrin, chloroacetic acid, and other chemical products.
Downstream of caustic soda: alumina, papermaking, printing and dyeing textiles, pharmaceuticals, and other chemical products.
Hydrogen: Hydrogen energy, aerospace, and other chemical products.
